Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, Antique and Collector Frames, which included the work Gibet Au Clair De Lune by Marius Bauer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 520.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marius Bauer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Minarets; The Hagia Sophia, Istanbul in November 2013 with an auction result of EUR 61,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, Antique and Collector Frames durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gibet Au Clair De Lune von Marius Bauer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 520,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marius Bauer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Minarets; The Hagia Sophia, Istanbul im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 61.500,00.
