This artwork by Marius Bauer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2012. In the A European Corporate Collection auction, the work Arabier voor een stadspoort sold for EUR 22,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marius Bauer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Minarets; The Hagia Sophia, Istanbul, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 61,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marius Bauer erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A European Corporate Collection wurde die Arbeit Arabier voor een stadspoort für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marius Bauer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Minarets; The Hagia Sophia, Istanbul beobachtet, die im November 2013 für EUR 61.500,00 versteigert wurde.
