A top price for Mariotto Albertinelli - as previously expected
The work The Visitation by Mariotto Albertinelli was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2014. The price achieved of GBP 242,500.00 (€ 312,177.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Visitation is the most expensive artwork by Mariotto Albertinelli that we have observed at auctions so far.
