Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist by Mariotto Albertinelli. The price achieved of GBP 19,120.00 (€ 29,350.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mariotto Albertinelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Visitation in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 242,500.00 (€ 312,177.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist von Mariotto Albertinelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 19.120,00 (€ 29.350,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mariotto Albertinelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Visitation im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 242.500,00 (€ 312.177,92).
