Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grande verde by Mario Schifano was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 756,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mario Schifano have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work La Stanza Dei Disegni was auctioned for EUR 1,302,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grande verde von Mario Schifano kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 756.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Mario Schifano konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit La Stanza Dei Disegni für EUR 1.302.000,00 versteigert.
