Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Phillips in an online auction held the auction The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection, which included the work Heart of Stone by Mário Cravo Neto. The price achieved of USD 2,268.00 (€ 2,139.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mário Cravo Neto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Luciana, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,504.13).
