Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art, which included the work A view of the Rhein river near Cleves by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 71,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Rhein river near Cleves von Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.700,00.
