A top price for Marino Marini - as previously expected
In May 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work L'Idea Del Cavaliere by Marino Marini. The price achieved of USD 7,040,000.00 (€ 5,233,033.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, L'Idea Del Cavaliere is the most expensive artwork by Marino Marini that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Idea Del Cavaliere von Marino Marini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.040.000,00 (€ 5.233.033,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000.000,00 – 8.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist L'Idea Del Cavaliere das teuerste Kunstwerk von Marino Marini, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
