Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Still Life With Fruits, A Jug And A Bowl by Marie van Regteren Altena was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,875.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marie van Regteren Altena - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Teatime, which sold at auction in April 2006 for EUR 5,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Still Life With Fruits, A Jug And A Bowl von Marie van Regteren Altena im März 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marie van Regteren Altena mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Teatime beobachtet, die im April 2006 für EUR 5.040,00 versteigert wurde.
