Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A Flower Still Life With Roses And Glasware by Marie van Regteren Altena. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,160.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marie van Regteren Altena - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Teatime, which sold at auction in April 2006 for EUR 5,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses And Glasware von Marie van Regteren Altena zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.160,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Marie van Regteren Altena mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Teatime beobachtet, die im April 2006 für EUR 5.040,00 versteigert wurde.
