In the European & British Art auction, the work Gelsomina (Jasmine) sold for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 127,747.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marie Spartali Stillman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Enchanted Garden in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 874,500.00 (€ 976,894.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marie Spartali Stillman erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European & British Art wurde die Arbeit Gelsomina (Jasmine) für GBP 107.100,00 (€ 127.747,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marie Spartali Stillman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Enchanted Garden im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 874.500,00 (€ 976.894,44).
