Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wijk aan Zee: houses in the dunes by Marie Henri MacKenzie was sold in the Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Henri MacKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 26,290.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wijk aan Zee: houses in the dunes von Marie Henri MacKenzie wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert.
