Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work Old houses in the snow by Marie Henri MacKenzie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Henri MacKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 26,290.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Old houses in the snow von Marie Henri MacKenzie zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Henri MacKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.290,00.
