In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work Lichtstudie: sunset by Marie Henri MacKenzie. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,750.00 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Henri MacKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 26,290.00.

Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lichtstudie: sunset von Marie Henri MacKenzie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.750,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Henri MacKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.290,00.
