Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work Beach Walkers At Sunset by Marie-François Firmin-Girard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie-François Firmin-Girard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Le Quai Aux Fleurs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,021,000.00 (€ 2,214,809.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach Walkers At Sunset von Marie-François Firmin-Girard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie-François Firmin-Girard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Le Quai Aux Fleurs im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.021.000,00 (€ 2.214.809,38).
