Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Éclipse De Soleil (Solar Eclipse) by Marianne von Werefkin was sold in the The Curator’s Eye: The Collection of Professor Dr Karin von Maur auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marianne von Werefkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 337,250.00 (€ 426,295.31).
