Auction result well in line with expectations
The work April by Marianne Stokes was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,293.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marianne Stokes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Angels Entertaining The Holy Child in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 142,250.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit April von Marianne Stokes kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.293,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marianne Stokes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Angels Entertaining The Holy Child im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 142.250,14).
