In June 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work In The Meadow by Marianne Stokes. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,127.69), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marianne Stokes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Angels Entertaining The Holy Child in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 142,250.14).

Im Juni 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, British and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In The Meadow von Marianne Stokes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.127,69) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marianne Stokes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Angels Entertaining The Holy Child im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 142.250,14).
