In February 2007 Christies in London held the auction Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye, which included the work 'Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows' by Marian Emma Chase. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,981.08). With this result, 'Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows' is even the most expensive work of art by Marian Emma Chase that we have observed at auctions so far.
