Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work The Musicians by Maria Martinetti. It changed hands for a price of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,392.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maria Martinetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gift in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,391.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Musicians von Maria Martinetti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 956,00 (€ 1.392,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maria Martinetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gift im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.391,40).
