Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les joueurs de Dames by Maria Martinetti was sold in the Orientalist Art auction at Bonhams in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 6,042.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maria Martinetti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gift, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,391.40).
