A top price for María Freire - as previously expected
The work Composição (Composition) by María Freire was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 112,258.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Composição (Composition) is the most expensive artwork by María Freire that we have observed at auctions so far.
