Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sin Título by María Freire was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,877.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by María Freire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composição (Composition) in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 112,258.64).
