The work The Dream of Flight by María Berrío was auctioned at Christies in New York in September this year. It achieved a price of CNY 3,528,000.00 (€ 456,666.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by María Berrío - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 1,603,000.00 (€ 1,552,843.17).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CNY 3.528.000,00 (€ 456.666,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Für andere Arbeiten von María Berrío mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 1.603.000,00 (€ 1.552.843,17) versteigert wurde.
