The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mari ten Kate have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Behind The Ramparts in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,619.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Playtime von Mari ten Kate wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mari ten Kate auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Behind The Ramparts im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.619,10).
