Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A mother with her children by Margaret Sarah Carpenter was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,334.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Margaret Sarah Carpenter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a young girl, thought to be Henrietta Carpenter, bust length, in oriental dress in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,017.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A mother with her children von Margaret Sarah Carpenter wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.334,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Margaret Sarah Carpenter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl, thought to be Henrietta Carpenter, bust length, in oriental dress im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 39.017,47).
