A top price for Margaret Heay Lewers - as previously expected
In November 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Three Ideas of Spring by Margaret Heay Lewers. The price achieved of AUD 10,575.00 (€ 5,963.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Three Ideas of Spring is the most expensive artwork by Margaret Heay Lewers that we have observed at auctions so far.
