Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract by Margaret Heay Lewers was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. The price achieved of AUD 1,410.00 (€ 795.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Margaret Heay Lewers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Ideas of Spring in November 2002 with an auction result of AUD 10,575.00 (€ 5,963.61).
