Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'Exodus, Iv, Liberty Road, Texas, Usa', 2014 by Marcus Lyon was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,117.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcus Lyon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exodus VI, West Lamma Channel, South China Sea, 2011, which sold at auction in May 2013 for GBP 52,275.00 (€ 61,117.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Exodus, Iv, Liberty Road, Texas, Usa', 2014 von Marcus Lyon wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.117,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcus Lyon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Exodus VI, West Lamma Channel, South China Sea, 2011 beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für GBP 52.275,00 (€ 61.117,64) versteigert wurde.
