The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,585.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marco Marchetti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Design For A Wall Decoration With Apollo And The Muses, A Figure Of Astronomy And The Coat-Of-Arms Of A Grand Duke Of Tuscany As Grand Master Of The Order Of Santo Stefano in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,740.74).

Die Arbeit Combat de tritons et de centaures von Marco Marchetti kam im März 2002 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.585,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
