Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ballerina by Marco Lodola was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of ITL 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for ITL 1,592,500.00 (€ 1,506.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Lodola - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Doppio arabesque, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 5,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ballerina von Marco Lodola im Mai 2001 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von ITL 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für ITL 1.592.500,00 (€ 1.506,80) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Lodola mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Doppio arabesque beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 5.200,00 versteigert wurde.
