Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Cadmium Red Medium, 1991 by Marcia Hafif. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 13,375.00 (€ 14,941.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marcia Hafif have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work #196 in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 56,312.00 (€ 63,587.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cadmium Red Medium, 1991 von Marcia Hafif zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 13.375,00 (€ 14.941,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcia Hafif auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit #196 im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.312,00 (€ 63.587,78).
