The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 12,846.87), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcel Brunery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French The Late Fiancé, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 66,000.00 (€ 48,316.25).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 12.846,87) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcel Brunery mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French The Late Fiancé beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 66.000,00 (€ 48.316,25) versteigert wurde.
