In January 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work Rachel and Leah in a landscape by Marcantonio Franceschini. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,356.89), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcantonio Franceschini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lot And His Daughters in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 368,750.00 (€ 414,974.11).

Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rachel and Leah in a landscape von Marcantonio Franceschini zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.356,89) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcantonio Franceschini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lot And His Daughters im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 368.750,00 (€ 414.974,11).
