Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oil Painting Studio No. 2 by Mao Yan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 235,358.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mao Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing Youth in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,063,557.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oil Painting Studio No. 2 von Mao Yan kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 235.358,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mao Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing Youth im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.063.557,38).
