Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Andrew by Mao Yan. The price achieved of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 39,883.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Youth in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,063,557.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Andrew von Mao Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 354.000,00 (€ 39.883,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Youth im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.063.557,38).
