Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Manuel Pailós could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America: Modern Art auction, the work Iglesia Constructiva changed hands for USD 10,625.00 (€ 10,059.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manuel Pailós have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 68,142.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manuel Pailós konnte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art wechselte die Arbeit Iglesia Constructiva für USD 10.625,00 (€ 10.059,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Pailós auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 68.142,43).
