Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Busto by Manuel Mendive was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in July 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,001.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Mendive achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Energías para el amor y la bondad in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,249.56).

Die Arbeit Busto von Manuel Mendive wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.001,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Mendive erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Energías para el amor y la bondad im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.249,56).
