It achieved a price of EUR 8,288.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38 %. Admittedly, works by Manuel Cargaleiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Medina, 1980 in March 2009 with an auction result of EUR 40,193.00.

Die Arbeit Composition, 1983 von Manuel Cargaleiro wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.288,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Cargaleiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Medina, 1980 im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.193,00.
