Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Diez Desnudos (Ten Nudes) by Manuel Álvarez Bravo. The price achieved of USD 15,240.00 (€ 13,804.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Álvarez Bravo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De L'Éternel, Mexico 1935 in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 228,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diez Desnudos (Ten Nudes) von Manuel Álvarez Bravo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.240,00 (€ 13.804,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Álvarez Bravo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De L'Éternel, Mexico 1935 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.750,00.
