Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Retrato con sombrero sobre fondo amarillo by Manolo Valdés was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,174.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manolo Valdés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Infanta Margarita, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Retrato con sombrero sobre fondo amarillo von Manolo Valdés wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.174,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Infanta Margarita beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24) versteigert wurde.
