Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (King) by Manjit Bawa was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 94,500.00 (€ 96,596.14). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manjit Bawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Devi) in March last year with an auction result of USD 1,108,800.00 (€ 999,549.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (King) von Manjit Bawa kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 94.500,00 (€ 96.596,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manjit Bawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Devi) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.108.800,00 (€ 999.549,27).
