It achieved a price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,000.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manjit Bawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Devi) in March last year with an auction result of USD 1,108,800.00 (€ 999,549.27).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Goat and Watermelon) von Manjit Bawa kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.000,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manjit Bawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Devi) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.108.800,00 (€ 999.549,27).
