A top price for Manjit Bawa
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak, which included the work Untitled (Devi) by Manjit Bawa. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,108,800.00 (€ 999,549.27), 39% above the upper estimate. With this result, Untitled (Devi) is even the most expensive work of art by Manjit Bawa that we have observed at auctions so far.
