The auction ended at the price of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,980.50), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manjit Bawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Devi) in March last year with an auction result of USD 1,108,800.00 (€ 999,549.27).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Acrobat) von Manjit Bawa wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.980,50) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manjit Bawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Devi) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.108.800,00 (€ 999.549,27).
