Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maquette for Aluminium Relief by Malcolm Hughes was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2008. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,098.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Malcolm Hughes have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2018 the work White and Aluminium 1967 was auctioned for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,977.41).

Die Arbeit Maquette for Aluminium Relief von Malcolm Hughes wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.098,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Malcolm Hughes konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2018 die Arbeit White and Aluminium 1967 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.977,41) versteigert.
