Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two maidens by Mai Trung Thu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 630,000.00 (€ 76,171.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mai Trung Thu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Mademoiselle Phuong in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 24,375,000.00 (€ 2,609,725.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two maidens von Mai Trung Thu kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 630.000,00 (€ 76.171,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mai Trung Thu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Mademoiselle Phuong im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.375.000,00 (€ 2.609.725,69).
