Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Imagination by Mai Jinyao for HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,920.67). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Ink Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mai Jinyao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My First Camera, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,031.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Imagination von Mai Jinyao für HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.920,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mai Jinyao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My First Camera beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.031,83) versteigert wurde.
