A top price for Mai Jinyao - as previously expected
The work My First Camera by Mai Jinyao was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,031.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, My First Camera is the most expensive artwork by Mai Jinyao that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit My First Camera von Mai Jinyao wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.031,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist My First Camera das teuerste Kunstwerk von Mai Jinyao, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
