Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work Sans Titre, 1991 by Mahjoub Ben Bella. The price achieved of MAD 41,600.00 (€ 3,650.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 33,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahjoub Ben Bella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,592.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1991 von Mahjoub Ben Bella zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 41.600,00 (€ 3.650,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 33.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahjoub Ben Bella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.592,90).
